Event Description

What makes a species ‘native’ to a given area? What are the ecological relationships between native plants and other elements of the eco-system such as birds and insects? What is the importance of local ecotypes of native species and genetic conversation? Environmental scientist, Eric Fuselier, shares all of this and other information in this two session class on native plants. The first session will be held via Zoom. During the second session, participants will learn about the ecosystem first hand during a native plant walk at Lake Fayetteville. If the hike is not possible he will present a virtual hike to all of the participants.
