Get ready to get into Arkansas roots all season long with Mount Sequoyah’s 2025 Music on the Mountain Series! Any donations will go to support Mount Sequoyah's continued community programing. This season again features a stellar lineup of talented Arkansas musicians! Mark your calendars and grab your blankets because the music starts flowing on April 25th and lasts until October 17th! Experience a diverse musical tapestry exploring Ozark and Americana roots. Most Music on the Mountain concerts will open with local emerging artists as a part of an ongoing effort to connect young performers to professional musicians for hands-on guidance.
This concert will be outdoors at our scenic Vesper Point. Seating will be provided but feel free to bring blankets and or chairs of your own. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will move across campus, into Clapp Auditorium. This will be communicated to ticket holders via email as well as on our social pages.Please, no outside food or drink. We will have drinks available and this year, you can add a large pizza to your ticket!

Ashtyn Barbaree is an internationally touring Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Fayetteville, Arkansas, noted for her distinctive style of ethereal vocals and melodies, heartfelt songwriting, and passionate performances. Barbaree’s dedication to creating authentic, emotionally resonant music continues to push boundaries and enchant audiences. Her latest project, Sent Through The Ceiling, is set for independent release on October 25.

Unyielding: A Family’s Fight Against Childhood IllnessNew Exhibition Brings Advocacy, Art, and Family Stories Into the Public EyeVan Buren AR– Artist and educator Amy Scoggins announces her upcoming exhibition, Unyielding: A Family’s Fight Against Childhood Illness, opening at Arts on Main on October 17th with a reception from 6:00-8:00pm. The show will remain on view through December 14th.Through large-scale constructions, personal artifacts, and fragments of medical evidence, Unyielding gives visual form to the hidden struggles of chronic illness. Scoggins, an Arkansas-based mother, artist, and educator, draws from her family’s lived experience to highlight the persistence, care, and advocacy often required when illness strikes children.“This work is not only about my own children,” Scoggins explains. “It is about the countless families navigating uncertainty, medical systems, and invisible disabilities. I want to make visible what is often unseen, and in doing so, create space for attention, compassion, and advocacy.”Scoggins teaches drawing at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith and has exhibited nationally. Her work has been recognized by the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, and the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. About the ArtistAmy Scoggins is an Arkansas-based artist, educator, and mother whose narrative-driven work explores chronic illness, motherhood, and medical advocacy. She holds a BFA from Missouri State University and an M.Ed. from Drury University. Her work combines personal storytelling with immersive constructions to amplify the voices of families facing chronic illness.

This practice is beginner-friendly and open to yogis of all levels. Options will be provided to either soften or intensify your practice, allowing you to meet your body where it’s at.
While the pace will help you work up a light glisten, this isn’t an intense sweat session—making it the perfect way to unwind and connect with your body.

Every time it rains, litter that is left on the ground washes to creeks and streams. You can help. Pick Up Where You Play is a series of litter cleanups happening throughout Northwest Arkansas during the fall months. Last year over 500 volunteers removed trash from parks, trails, creeks, rivers, and lakes. Volunteers are entered to win adventures in the 3 major watersheds of NWA.
