Our Goal: 500 new donors in June to break the 3,000 contributing-listener threshold for the first time in KUAF history.
Why now: With nearly 17% of our budget from federal funding now at risk and our fiscal year ending soon, communities that invest in themselves don't wait for permission from Washington to thrive.
Your Mission: Amplify KUAF! Bring a friend to KUAF! We're asking you to do something different this time. Instead of asking for more of your money, we're asking you to share your love for KUAF with the people in your life. Talk to your friends, relatives, coworkers, churchmates, running partners, hunting buddies, bridge partners, whomever – anyone who might benefit from what KUAF brings to this community.
How It Works: Throughout June, we're counting every new supporter, with focused on-air spots June 21-28 featuring you – our current contributing listeners – explaining why you give and inviting others to join. We want you on the air telling your KUAF story, and we want you having those same conversations in your everyday spaces.
What KUAF Is Asking From You:
1) Personally recruit 5 people to join us at SupportKuaf.com to become monthly contributors. We suggest $10/month, though any amount makes a meaningful difference. 2) Come voice a spot that we can air on KUAF. Email me at schaff@uark.edu to get scheduled to come in or to do it by phone.
Why Now? The end of the fiscal year means we're paying bills while expenses continue to rise. The number of contributing listeners has remained steady, while underwriting revenue has declined. We need your help to make a difference – and this time, we're not asking for more of your money (although we’ll accept any increased donations with gratitude and enthusiasm). This time, we're asking you to speak with love, enthusiasm, and passion about KUAF, a service you depend upon.
