Today Pete talks with Lawrence McElroy, director of arts and culture as well as the museum curator at Historic Cane Hill, about an upcoming art competition event for high school aged students in Arkansas.
The registration deadline is this Saturday, November 2nd, by midnight. Requirements to participate in this competition include being a legal resident of Arkansas, as well as being eligible for enrollment at the University of Arkansas for the Fall 2020 semester.
The opening reception for the exhibition will be December 7th and will run for six weeks.
The grand prize for this event is a scholarship covering a full year of tuition to the University of Arkansas School of Art.
