The University of Arkansas recently announced a new scholarship program. The Land of Opportunity Scholarship is launching with an ambitious goal: raise $200 million to help Arkansas high school students afford to attend the school. UA Chancellor Charles Robinson says the project is already in good shape thanks to a significant gift from Jane and Bryan Hunt on behalf of the Hunt family.

Applications are being accepted by the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund for use during the spring semester. Earlier this month Christi Brown, the program manager for the ASPSF, visited Anthony and Susan Hui to discuss the scholarships. She said these scholarships can have several uses to help a single parent continue working toward a degree.
