Yevgeny Kutik, a Russian-American violinist praised for his technical precision and virtuosity, has a new release called Words Fail, which begins with selections from Felix Mendelssohn's "Songs Without Words."

"I kind of whittled down my favorites," Kutik explains to Katy Henriksen. This work with Mendelssohn helped Kutik to learn more about "the ability of music to communicate far better than words." Listen to the interview in its entirety right here.
