Covering American folk songs to movie music, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) will perform at the 3rd Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at the Walmart AMP in Rogers. The concert will be a more intimate and casual audience interaction than their normal performances according to SoNA Executive Director, Matthew Herren.
"The rules are different because they don't necessarily sit quietly. They're not in the dark. It's a little looser than concerts in a regular auditorium," he explains, adding that the relaxed atmosphere of the AMP will suit SoNA Music Director Paul Haas very well.
"He has great interaction with the audience and the musicians," he says, "but I think one of his great assets is that he turns around and talks to all of us who are listening. I think that's made him a real friend of the community."
