Outdoor movie series ends at Walker Park featuring Smokey & the Mirror
The City of Fayetteville is ending its "Movies in the Parks" series with "The Coal Miner's Daughter" screening near the Splash Pad at Walker Park tonight, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. The event will feature music from the film performed live by Smokey & The Mirror before the movie. Ozarks at Large's Kyle Kellams invited Bernice and Bryan Hembree of Smokey & The Mirror to talk about what "Coal Miner's Daughter" means to them.

Fuel Accelerator launches new program focused on cybersecurity
An accelerator is hosting a 10-week program focused on cybersecurity in Bentonville. Startup Junkie’s Fuel Accelerator has worked with entrepreneurs and startups over the last 6 years, with a recent focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Darian Harris said a gap they have seen in the business to business market is utilizing AI and machine learning to improve cybersecurity.

LISA Academy opens in Fayetteville, grants for improving adolescent mental health
Today on The Outline: LISA Academy in Fayetteville hosted its official grand opening at the new location on Van Asche Drive. Also, The Center for Poultry Excellence at the University of Arkansas will host researchers from around the world this month for the International Avian Influenza Summit. Plus, The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas is awarding grants to help boost adolescent mental health.

Fenix Arts to Stage "Queer" Exposition
“Queer,” a juried fine arts exhibit hosted by Fenix Arts at Mt. Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville, opens Thursday, June 2nd, at 5pm with an artists’ panel set for Friday, June 3rd at 6pm. Forty artworks will be on display. A collaborative LGBTQ+ performance arts event, “Warp & Weft,” that coincides with “Queer” will take place July 16th.
