State Appeal of ACLU Preliminary Injunction of Arkansas TransYouth Health Care Ban Under Federal Judicial Scrutiny

Joanna Brand and her son Dylan are lead plantiffs in a lawsuit to maintain access to gender-affirming medical care for trans youth in Arkansas.

An appeal by the state of Arkansas to lift a stay, requested by ACLU - Arkansas to be placed on a 2021 law banning adolescent gender-affirming health care from taking effect, will soon be decided.

Jacqueline Froelich is an investigative journalist and has been a news producer for KUAF National Public Radio since 1998.
