J.B. Hunt collaborates with autonomous trucking company to log 50,000 long-haul miles

A collaboration between J.B. Hunt, the tire company Bridgestone, and Kodiak Robotics has resulted in more than 50,000 autonomous long-haul trucking miles. A 750 mile stretch between Dallas and Atlanta has been the route of choice, and Kodiak says 100% of the trips have been on-time without accident.

The "Cherokee Advocate's" printing press returns home

A printing press used in the 19th century to create issues of the "Cherokee Advocate" is home after it was repatriated by the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa. The U.S. government shut the newspaper down in the early 20th century, and Thomas Gilcrease purchased the press in the 1940s. An official repatriation ceremony took place last week in Tahlequah. Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin, Jr. spoke about the occasion.

Arkansas Cinema Society's Filmland returns

The Arkansas Cinema Society's annual celebration of movies, Filmland, starts tomorrow, Aug. 13, in Little Rock with a screening of "The Duel," followed by a conversation with actor and executive producer Dylan Sprouse and actor Hart Denton. Filmland continues through Sunday with screenings and conversations. Kody Ford, director of outreach, programs and education with the Arkansas Cinema Society, visited the Anthony and Susan Hui News Studio to discuss the event.
