OLLI- Clinton House Museum Tour
Participants will be provided a private tour of the Clinton House Museum that interprets the lives of President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton during the time they lived in Fayetteville and taught at the University of Arkansas Law School. The Museum promotes the legacy of the Clintons’ commitment to public service and civic engagement for international, national, and local visitors as well as preserves the historic home and its role in local and state history.
UA Professor Emeritus of Communication, Stephen Smith, along with Marilyn Heifner, will lead a discussion that will include the history of the 1931 Tudor Revival house and those who lived there, the social life and political activity during the Clinton years, vintage Arkansas political advertising, and the creation of the Museum and Gardens as a heritage tourism site, as well as guided tours of the home and gardens.
