Mt. Sequoyah Center Housing U of A Students in Need of Quarantine

Mt. Sequoyah Center is located in east Fayetteville on a forested mountain top.

Mt. Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville is providing isolation quarters to a small number of University of Arkansas students who’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Founded a century ago as a church retreat, the historic center now operates as a creative, educational and recreational place for the community — and during the pandemic as a secure quarantine space.

Pediatrician discusses Arkansas measles outbreak, vaccine hesitancy

There have been four confirmed cases of pediatric measles in unvaccinated children in Arkansas. This follows over 700 confirmed cases in Texas this year, including two fatalities, with more than 650 cases in unvaccinated individuals.
