The Colorful, Bold Work of Print Gurl

Casey Bourke, aka Print Gurl, creates art that is colorful and dynamic. Her work can be found on the cover of the latest issue of "The Idle Class." She came to our studio, along with Idle Class publisher/editor Kody Ford, to discuss her art and how she is leading a public conversation about melanoma following a diagnosis last year.

  • “Queer,” a juried fine arts exhibit hosted by Fenix Arts at Mt. Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville, opens Thursday, June 2nd, at 5pm with an artists’ panel set for Friday, June 3rd at 6pm. Forty artworks will be on display. A collaborative LGBTQ+ performance arts event, “Warp & Weft,” that coincides with “Queer” will take place July 16th.
  • Community School of the Arts in Fort Smith has recently received a $750,000 grant to begin construction on a new facility. The center will provide students with cutting-edge technology for a variety of spaces for students to expand their arts education.
