Market Center of the Ozarks takes root in Springdale

On today's show, construction begins on the Market Center of the Ozarks. The facility will be a resource for local farmers, food entrepreneurs and regional communities. Also, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders led her first overseas trade mission as governor this past week. Plus, the Music Depot opens next week, a concert honoring Diego Rivera's art and local music.

Market Center of the Ozarks takes root in downtown Springdale

The 45,000-square foot Market Center of the Ozarks, under construction on east Emma Avenue in Springdale, will open next summer. The state-of-the art facility funded by the Walton Family Foundation will offer a wealth of resources to regional farmers, food entrepreneurs and surrounding communities. Ozarks at Large's Jacqueline Froelich takes a tour of the center's Spring Creek Food Hub which recently opened in temporary quarters on West Shady Grove Road.

There is about a month left for people to visit Diego Rivera’s America at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Tomorrow, the museum and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will host the concert, I Paint What I See, in recognition of Diego Rivera’s art.
