Captively bred lizards released into revived Ozark habitats

On today's show, the Eastern Collared Lizard Conservation Team, has bred 43 of Arkansas' largest lizards, the Eastern Collared Lizard, and released them in secret locations in the Ozark Mountains earlier this summer. The team is now focusing on restoring more glades to house the threatened species. Also, the mobile Listening Lab visits Little Rock, Arkansas ends the fiscal year with a surplus and more.

The Eastern Collared Lizard Conservation Team is a unique partnership between multiple state agencies. The group focuses on restoring the habitats of the threatened Eastern Collared Lizard. Over the past year, they bred 43 lizards and released them in restored glade habitats earlier this summer.
