New state laws on guns, minimum wage, transgender care and more go into effect

A multitude of new state laws addressing minimum wage, gun safety, gender transition care and diversity programs go into effect on Jan. 1.

We round up the most significant in the new year with New York Times reporter Adeel Hassan.
