A conversation with Stephanie Bolin, outreach coordinator at the Beaver Watershed Alliance, about War Eagle Appreciation Day — a free community event held on the banks of War Eagle Creek that combines music, nature, family-friendly activities, plus hands-on environmental education and stewardship.
This year’s celebration takes place Saturday, June 7, and features live music from local artist Jude Brothers, a float and cleanup opportunity on the creek, complimentary lunch, native plant sales, raffles, and interactive activities for all ages, including a scavenger hunt, nature stations, games and more.
The event also highlights the importance of War Eagle Creek, which supplies nearly one-third of the water flowing into Beaver Lake, the primary drinking water source for one in five Arkansans.
