Did you know that Northwest Arkansas is home to over 250 unique bird species each year? Imagine the excitement of learning their names, calls, and behaviors! Join Lauren Eno, Education Director at Wild Birds Unlimited, for a field trip to Lake Fayetteville, where she will introduce you to some of our most fascinating springtime birds. The trails we’ll use are accessible, but close-toed shoes are recommended, and binoculars are welcome!

Protect your pet! Bring your pet to our walk-in vaccine and microchip clinic each Wednesday, from 9am to 12:30pm. Please bring all dogs on leashes and all cats in carriers. All vaccines and microchips are free. Appointments are appreciated but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. Registration is available at the link below:

Since the late 1990s, KAWS has been creating a cast of iconic characters steeped in the American zeitgeist that populate his work. Each with their own distinct personality pulled in part from their creator, these characters have been a constant throughline in the artist’s career. The exhibition takes its title and thematic jumping-off point from the sculpture titled FAMILY (2021), which brings together four of KAWS’ characters posed in the style of a family portrait. As witnessed throughout the show, the relationships between the figures can be complex, familiar, and astonishingly heartfelt entryways into human emotions.

Join local mixed media artist, poet, and passionate journal keeper Julie Jeannene Rickard for an inspiring three-part workshop designed to explore vision and voice in new ways. By combining verbal and visual skills, participants will discover a mental balance that fosters evolving creative practices. Julie will guide you through mixed media techniques, including drawing, collage, and basic printing, alongside revealing writing exercises with prompts to inspire memory, dreams, and sensory experiences. You’ll create working journals to continue this satisfying creative process long after the workshop concludes. Dive deep into your own creative potential, share your wisdom, and celebrate collective expression in a supportive environment. Come ready to unlock new avenues of creativity! All materials will be provided for the class participants.

"Through mixed media, yet divergent styles, Amber and Sandra take the viewer on an exploration of the power of nature to ignite, to inspire, to nurture, to calm the human spirit. Sandra Spotts is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and a current resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She cultivated a love for art at a very early age which led to earning a degree in Art from the University of Arkansas with a minor in English.
Sandra spent many years teaching elementary and junior high art as well as working as a professional artist and designer. In addition to painting, usually in an abstract expressionist style, she has worked and exhibited as a weaver, paper maker and creator of sculptural contemporary basketry, winning several awards. One of her works is a part of the permanent collection of the Art Museum of Arkansas.
Her love of writing and storytelling influences her mixed media painting style in which she often incorporates fragments of letters, books and other found objects and original prose. Her themes are often highly personal and emotional responses to life events, observation of nature or global events. Sandra is co-producer and performer on the live storytelling show, “Homegrown Tales.”
She currently exhibits regionally and nationally. Amber Leibee, a watercolorist and amateur naturalist. My artistic intention is to record the profound peace inherent to silent moments of solitary study and observation of the natural world. My works are small, meant for an audience of one, an intimate exchange between artist and viewer. I am influenced by Muriel Foster, Alexander von Humboldt, and Clare Walker Leslie. All paints used in my palette are hand mulled using water from a local spring, this process helps me understand how my pigments will mix and behave together on paper. The majority of my work is done en plein air, rendered first in graphite, then watercolor, and on occasion finished with pen and ink details. Amber Leibee is a watercolorist and amateur naturalist. We invite you to Join Chef Timothy Ordway and his team of culinary artists for Wednesdays Over Water: A casual evening of food, drinks, and conversation featuring handcrafted small plates and expert insights.

Each month, you’ll enjoy a four-course dinner menu inspired by a chosen theme, whether it be works in the museum’s galleries and exhibitions or a particular culinary art and tradition, transforming the elements of each theme into an exercise in edible art.
