"Candy Lee is a “golden-voiced” indie-folk singer/songwriter. Nominated for the 2024 Arkansas Country Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year, she has toured the U.S., recorded three albums, and taught songwriting to elementary school students.

Now a mother, she also creates enchanting children’s music. Her debut album, Backyard Bugs, inspires a love for nature, with Backyard Bugs 2 arriving this spring, funded by the Artist 360 grant. Candy Lee is passionate about sharing music that delights listeners of all ages."

Ozark Folkways on Highway 71 in Winslow will host a potluck dinner and evening of traditional dancing! Starting the evening at 6:00 will be a potluck dinner, followed by Old Time Square dancing called by Steve Green, Abby Hollis, and friends. Bring a dish, entree, snack, or beverage to share. Then at 7pm dancing will start with squares and two-steps to live music. All dances are taught and beginner friendly. Partners not required. $10 admission supports the performers and the mission of Ozark Folkways.

Ginny Poe’s music is a blend of folk, blues, and dreamy shoegaze, inviting listeners to breathe into the space contained within the song. A singer-songwriter from an early age, Ginny draws inspiration from lived experience, reflection, fits of passion, and harmony in nature. Her melodies on the piano and electric tenor guitar paired with soulful vocals evoke the atmosphere of a balmy summer night thick with the chorus of frogs, cicadas, and fireflies.

Jonivan Jones is a performing singer-songwriter mixing commonality and folk abstraction to create stories and songs. With influences and travel that have spanned from the Deep South, to the East Coast, and the South Pacific he embraces those intersections using acoustics, electrics, 8-string lap slides, percussive a capella and Harmonica to tie in these musical blueprints. Devoting the last 20 years to honing that style and embracing communities through inclusive festivals, grassroots shows and alternative wellness centers.
