TN Politics: "Chance to Get Rid of President" Electrifies Early Vote, Sanford Says

Political analyst Otis Sanford discusses the week of Tennessee Politics for Oct. 11-17, 2020.

The first day of early voting in Shelby County on Wednesday drew far bigger crowds than the same day in 2008, when local voters set the previous turnout record. Then, says Sanford, they were casting a historic vote to elect America's first Black president.

But what compels a record number of voters all across the country to show up this year for early voting?

"This is a chance to get rid of a president," says political analyst Otis Sanford.
