"Finding Our Way | February 5 - April 26, 2026The moment of arrival—what we carry when we seek sanctuary, transitions, and the crossing into safety. Sandra Spotts, artist. Jay Lane, artist. Familiar images made from various materials and objects, found and recycled, placed in a format of controlled chaos, is at this point in my journey, the medium of choice for the“Finding Our Way” exhibit at Gotahold Brewing. I see society as satirical subject matter that exists in a surrealistic landscape of twisted perspective that is filled to the fences with social ironies. And yet, I still have to maintain my sense of humor about what has been and what will be with the activities du jour based on fear, war, greed, and hate. With this sense also comes my interpretations, expressed visually based on myexperiences, feelings, and health, from finding my way as an artist. I hope these pieces give you a sense of curiosity that you continue to carry with you while you are finding your way through all of this we humans call life."
We invite you to join Chef Timothy Ordway and his team of culinary artists for Wednesdays Over Water: a casual evening of food, drinks, and conversation featuring handcrafted small plates and expert insights.
Each month, you’ll enjoy a four-course dinner menu inspired by a chosen theme, whether it be artworks in the museum’s galleries and exhibitions, or a particular culinary art and tradition, transforming the elements of each theme into an exercise in edible art.
Along the way, each course will be paired with hand-picked libations and spirited commentary by our Culinary team and guests. You’ll get the chance to meet fellow foodies, get an inside look at the art and artistry of great cuisine, and unwind with what promises to be a true feast for the senses.
Featuring hand-crafted dishes, inspired drinks, and expert insights from your hosts, this special culinary event is the perfect way to celebrate 250 years of American stories through our latest exhibition, America 250: Common Threads. We hope to see you there!
