NWACC Receives Approval to Form Cross Country Team

Northwest Arkansas Community College has received approval from the National Junior College Athletic Association to offer cross country as its first intercollegiate sport. Officials plan to begin the program in the fall of 2021.

Pediatrician discusses Arkansas measles outbreak, vaccine hesitancy

There have been four confirmed cases of pediatric measles in unvaccinated children in Arkansas. This follows over 700 confirmed cases in Texas this year, including two fatalities, with more than 650 cases in unvaccinated individuals. Dr. Andrew Koehler, a pediatrician at Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics, said the spread of measles to Arkansas seemed inevitable.
