In early March, before the coronavirus pandemic shuttered venues small and large, the Northwest Arkansas Council released the results of a 15-month study into the region's music ecosystem. The study also makes recommendations for growing the industry and a new regional arts organization formed last year will be tasked with carrying those out. We realize many musicians have had to cancel shows and tours because of the outbreak, but felt this story highlights their importance in our communities.
