Join us in an opening reception of our latest exhibit, Tracing the Threads: Weaving in the Arkansas Ozarks from noon to 3 p.m. in the Shiloh Museum’s Exhibit Hall and Meeting Room.

At 1 p.m., Carolyn Reno, the exhibit’s co-curator, will guide guests through the exhibition space, providing insights into the rich history of handweaving in the Arkansas Ozarks spanning the past two centuries. Then, at 1:30 p.m., gather in Shiloh’s Meeting Room where a member of the Northwest Arkansas Handweavers Guild will present a brief yet fascinating history of the guild.

Throughout the opening, members of the Northwest Arkansas Handweavers Guild will showcase their skills with weaving demonstrations. Light refreshments will be served.

This exhibition is not only a journey through the past but also a celebration of the Northwest Arkansas Handweavers Guild’s 75th anniversary in 2024. Join us for a series of programs and exhibitions at various sites across the region, marking this significant milestone in the guild’s history.
