Statewide ballot petition initiative launched to overturn Arkansas' abortion ban

Permanent, pop-up and private petition signing events coordinated by Arkansans for Limited Government are taking place across the state, including in northwest Arkansas. The aim is to collect a sufficient number of voter signatures to place the Arkansas Abortion Amendment on the November 24 ballot. If approved, the citizen-initiated law will restrict Arkansas state lawmakers and officials from banning access to abortion.

Ghanaian artist creates proverbial coffins at the University of Arkansas

Ghanaian artist Jacob Joe Paa Jr. has been creating a proverbial coffin with University of Arkansas art students for the past couple of weeks. Ozarks at Large's Kyle Kellams visited the School of Art to learn more about these coffins and what they represent.

Jones Center's indoor triathlon provides accessible athletic opportunities

The Jones Center will foster accessibility with its indoor triathlon in early March. The center’s Marketing and Communications Director, Jill Suel, says that the indoor event can be more beginner-friendly than an outdoor competition.
