Music in the Park - National Music Week

Celebrate National Music Week with free music activities at Loch Lomond Dam Pavilion at 59 Glasgow Rd in Bella Vista, AR, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. Event highlights are singing “God Bless America” by Irving Berlin, and listening to “The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin played on saxophone and digital piano. Lisa Ferguson will play folk music on hammered dulcimer. A poem, written by a resident poet, celebrating the National Music Week theme “Music…Yours, Mine and Ours” will be read. Enjoy guitar music to drum therapy music all at one venue. National Music Week is in its 101st year and sponsored by National Federation of Music Clubs and its local affiliates, MAPS - NWA Music, Art, Poetry Students and the Andante Music Club of Bella Vista. It recognizes the importance of music in the life of our nation and invites all “friends of music” to participate in this great week of celebration.
