The Bentonville School District is hosting its second annual Educators’ Career Fair. The fair is Saturday, Feb.24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bentonville High School. Leslee Wright, communications director for the school district, says the concern with starting a new event is whether it will be well received or well attended.

A proposed constitutional amendment has been rejected that aims to change elements of the governor's major education law. The education rights amendment of 2024 proposes that all schools that receive local or state funding will be required to meet “identical state academic standards and identical state standards of accreditation.”

The Alice L. Walton School of Medicine is currently under construction, and officials contracted Arkansas-based architecture firm Polk Stanley Wilcox to design a 2.5-acre green roof for the new campus, which will be the largest in the state.
