Explainer: Producing, Supplying and Using in Arkansas

Farmers depend on hay to feed livestock, and equestrians need specific forage for horses. About 75% of Arkansas hay and other pasture fields was deemed in poor or very poor condition in August 2022, according to USDA’s Crop Progress Report. Now, as some Arkansas farmers gear up for hay season, the state is no longer in a drought.
