The city government has selected internationally renowned street artist Leon Keer to design and install a new mural on the West Avenue Parking Deck near Dickson Street in Fayetteville. Artosphere, the festival that merges nature and art, is underway, centered at the Walton Arts Center. This year’s iteration of the festival includes many of the features from past Artsopheres: concerts in area chapels, the music along the Razorback Greenway that is Trail Mix and a performance by the Dover Quartet.

Arkansas Medicaid recipients and advocates are concerned about the state’s plan to reinstate work reporting requirements. The state has asked the federal government for permission to require some Arkansans to work a certain number of hours or meet exemptions to stay enrolled in the state’s Medicaid expansion program.

There have been four confirmed cases of pediatric measles in unvaccinated children in Arkansas. This follows over 700 confirmed cases in Texas this year, including two fatalities, with more than 650 cases in unvaccinated individuals. Dr. Andrew Koehler, a pediatrician at Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics, said the spread of measles to Arkansas seemed inevitable.
