A new holiday-themed market will debut in the Fayetteville Town Center this Saturday. FRUITCAKE will feature local craftspeople and vendors as well as cocktails, games and fruitcake. Early access begins at 11 a.m. Saturday morning and general admission is at noon. This week FRUITCAKE co-founders Emily Walker and Evan McDonald came to the Carver Center for Public Radio to talk about why they’ve called this event “fruitcake.”

NWA Movement Hub contributes to and promotes dance in the region, co-founded by Karen Castleman and Michelle Summers. The Hub supports Flyover Contemporary Dance Company and other artistic collaborations. Both founders have a lifelong passion for dance, choreography and dance education. Early next month, the group’s inaugural Jingle Jam at the CACHE Studios in Bentonville will celebrate many forms of dance.

Little Rock native LazRael Lison's latest film, Christmas Angel, released this past week on BET-Plus. He’s directed eight films in conjunction with BET, Netflix, Amazon and Lionsgate.
